An omnidirectional sensing system enables comprehensive environmental awareness, allowing Air 3 to detect obstacles in all directions. When obstacles are detected, Air 3 can use APAS 5.0 to perform smoother avoidance movements for a safer overall flight experience. Even complete beginners can now fly with confidence and execute creative ideas with enhanced safety.

I have been flying a Mavic pro for the past seven years. I shoot real estate photography in a mountainous area and unfortunately I have crashed my Mavic pro into trees on several occasions while trying to get the perfect angle through the trees. The old Mavic pro only had forward looking sensors so while backing up or flying sideways to get into position, you are flying blind. After my last crash, even though the Mavic was not seriously damaged, I decided it was time for an upgrade. The Omni directional sensors on the Air 3 are a game changer for getting the perfect shot. The new batteries are incredible. I can fly forever without even thinking about the time remaining on the battery. The addition of a cinematic flight mode is also a huge bonus on the air 3. It allows me to just flip a switch between a normal flight mode, and a very slow controlled flight for smooth video. This is an amazing drone and well worth the money.
